Fall Final exams are right around the corner!
강가을학기 기말 고사가 코앞으로 다가왔습니다!
4th graders and up will have Fall Final Exams starting Monday, Jan 9 to Friday, Feb 2! Teachers have begun reviewing materials for the exam, so please help encourage your students to study hard for their finals!
1월 9일 월요일부터 2월 2일 금요일까지 4학년 이상의 학생들은 기말 고사를 치르게 됩니다! 선생님들께서 시험을 위한 복습을 진행하고 있고, 학생들이 기말 고사를 잘 준비할 수 있도록 응원해주세요!
As a reminder, 1-3rd grade students will have cumulative review tests or final chapter tests in placement of final exams.
1~3 학년 학생들은 기말 고사가 아닌 누적 복습 시험 또는 챕터 시험을 치르게 됨을 리마인더 드립니다.
Spirit Day: Get Ready for Finals

Friday, January 26 is our second Spirit Day of the month! In preparation for Fall Final Exams, dress up like you studied all night (ex. crazy bed hair, wearing a headband that says fighting!, etc.) or channel the spirit of someone you think is bright (ex. Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, etc.).
이번달의 두번째 스피릿 데이가 1월 26일 금요일에 있습니다! 기말 고사를 준비하는 학생들의 모습으로써, 밤새 공부한 모습 (예: 헝클어진 머리, 화이팅이 적힌 머리띠 착용 등) 혹은 똑똑한 사람의 모습을 보여주세요 (예: 알버트 아인슈타인, 스티브 잡스 등)!
End of Fall Semester
가을학기 마지막 날
The last day of the 2023 Fall Semester for grade school is Friday, Feb 2! There will be no school Monday, Feb 5 for Teachers-In-Service Day, and students will return on Tuesday, Feb 6 for the first day of Spring Semester (grade school).
2월 2일 금요일은 초·중·고 2023년 가을학기의 마지막 날입니다! 2월 5일 월요일은 교사근무일로써 학교에 오지 않고, 모든 초·중·고 학생들은 2월 6일 화요일날 봄학기 첫 등교를 하게 됩니다.
Last Day of After-School
방과후수업 마지막 날
The last day of Fall Semester after-school classes will be on Friday, Jan 26 to give students time to prepare and study for their Fall Final Exams.
학생들의 기말 고사 준비를 위하여 1월 26일 금요일은 2023년 가을학기 방과후 수업 의 마지막 날입니다.
Request for Official Documents
공식 서류 요청
All requests for formal documents (Certificate of Enrollment, Withdrawal Form, etc.) will take a minimum of 3~4 days for processing. Additionally, recommendation letters will take up to 1-2 weeks to process.
모든 공식 서류 (입학증명서, 자퇴원서 등) 요청은 최소 3~4일이 소요되며, 추천서는 1~2주가 소요됩니다.
The “Request for Withdrawal” form must be turned in a month prior to the last day if a student needs to be withdrawn from JICS.
학생이 JICS에서 자퇴해야하는 경우에는 “자퇴요청서”를 제출해야합니다.
[3rd Grade] Weekly Challenge
[3학년] 주간 챌린지
This week’s challenge for our third-graders to obtain extra credit will be to visit the ‘National Museum of World Writing Systems’ in Songdo and create one ‘fact file’ poster written with something you learned from the museum. Lastly, take a picture of yourself in your favorite part of the museum! Please send picture evidence of your students completing these challenges so that they may receive extra credit.
이번 주 3학년 학생들의 추가 점수를 위한 챌린지는 송도에 위치한 ‘국립세계문자박물관’을 방문하여 박물관에서 배운 것을 적은 ‘사실 자료’ 포스터를 만드는 것입니다. 마지막으로, 박물관에서 가장 좋았던 곳에서 사진을 찍어주세요! 학생들이 추가 점수를 받을 수 있도록 도전을 완료한 사진을 보내주세요.
