Next Friday, May 31, is our biggest and BEST event of the school - our JICS Annual Carnival!!
다음주 금요일 (5월 31일)에는 우리 학교의 가장 크고 최고의 행사인 JICS 연례 카니발이 열립니다!!
We will be celebrating the 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF JICS!! So bring your friends, family, loved ones, and guests this upcoming Friday, May 31st from 5PM! From amazing performances to a variety of food and games, it’s an exciting night for the whole JICS community.
우리는 이번 카니발을 통해 JICS 10주년을 기념합니다!! 여러분의 친구, 가족, 사랑하는 사람들과 모두를 5월 31일 금요일 오후 5시에 데리고 오세요! 놀라운 공연부터 다양한 음식과 게임까지, JICS 커뮤니티 전체를 위한 신나는 밤이 될 것입니다.

Carnival Money & Game Tickets
Carnival Money and Game Tickets are available for purchase! We highly recommend buying them before the Carnival event as lines tend to get very long.
카니발 머니와 게임티켓을 구매하실 수 있습니다! 카니발 당일 현장에서는 줄이 매우 길어 많은 시간이 소요될 수 있으므로 카니발 행사 전에 미리 구입하는 것이 좋습니다.
Carnival Money: 1,000 won per $1 Carnival Dollar
카니발 머니: $1 = 1000원Game Ticket: 3,000 won per ticket
게임티켓: 1장 = 3000원
For those who are new to our JICS Annual Carnival event, ONLY JICS Carnival Money can be used for all games, foods, drinks, and goods!

Spring 2024 MAP Test

Great job to all students who participated in the Spring MAP tests this week! For students who were not able to complete the exam or were ill during the time of the test, we will schedule a make-up time for them in the upcoming week.
이번주 봄하기 MAP 시험에 참가한 모든 학생들 수고 많았습니다! 시험을 아직 다끝내지 못한 학생들과 시험 기간동안 아파 참여하지 못한 학생들을 위해 다가오는 주에 보충시간을 가질 수 있도록 일정을 조율하겠습니다.

Our 2024 JICS Summer Camp registration is open!

Session 2: August 1 to August 22 | 8월 1일 ~ 8월 22일
Session 1 has three different programs for students in rising G2~G9 grades:

J-Fushion Elementary Camp (Rising 예비 G2~5)
*New* Explore the Arts Camp (Rising 예비 G2~6)
*New* Ultimate STEM Lab (Rising 예비 G6~9)

As a reminder, Friday, May 31, our Carnival Day, is minimum day! There is also no after-school so we can prepare for the event! Please don’t forget the schedule as follows:

Our Partner, University of Utah Asia Campus has invited our JICS students to Experience the UAC Day which is tomorrow! Experience the UAC Day (EXP+UAC Day) is designed to allow prospective students and their families to truly experience student life by participating in a series of mini-sample lectures.

2024 Grad Trip Debrief Parent Meeting

We will be rescheduling the special debrief meeting for parents whose students have gone on the recent 2024 Grad trip! We will be sharing with the parents in more depth of what we did on the trip, how it was, and more~ Please save the date for Wednesday, June 5, 5:00 PM!

[3rd Grade] Weekly Challenge
[3학년] 주간 챌린지
This week’s challenge for our third-graders to obtain extra credit will be to visit the Kyobo Bookstore, use the computer to search for a book that student would like to read. Print the ticket, and find the location of the book according to the ticket. Also Find an album of your favorite singer and take a picture with it. Search the author "Roald Dahl" and take a picture with his books in store. Find an English book that has been made into a movie, and take a picture with it. This will be due June 10th. Please send picture evidence of your students completing these challenges so that they may receive extra credit.
이번 주 3학년 학생들의 추가 점수 도전과제는 교보문고에 방문하여 읽고 싶은 책을 컴퓨터로 검색하고, 티켓을 출력하여 적혀있는 위치로 가서 책을 찾는 것입니다. 예) 소설 B4
또한 가장 좋아하는 가수의 엘범을 들고 사진을 찍고, 로알드달 (Roald Dahl)의 책을 서점에서 찾아 사진을 찍으세요. 그리고 영화로 만들어진 책을 찾아 사진을 찍으세요. 마감일은 6월 10일이며 학생들이 추가 점수를 받을 수 있도록 과제를 하고 있는 사진을 보내주세요.
