Fall 2024 Midterm Exam 가을학기 중간고사
Great job to all of our students in completing their Fall Midterm exams! For some, it was even their first ever midterm! We also hope everyone (particularly our Jr. High & High students taking more difficult midterms) enjoyed and found strength through the difficult exams through the help of the special Midterm-lunch menu last week! Let’s keep up the energy and efforts the rest of the 2024 year!
가을 학기 중간고사를 성공적으로 마친 우리 모든 학생들 정말 수고 많았습니다! 이번 중간고사가 몇 학생들에게는 심지어 첫 중간고사였습니다! 그리고 지난 주 중간고사를 위한 특별 메뉴가 모든 학생들에게 ( 특히 더 어려운 시험 보는 중, 고등 학생들) 힘이 되어, 어려운 시험을 잘 이겨낼 수 있었기를 바랍니다. 남은 2024년에도 힘차게 화이팅 하세요!
Thanksgiving Potluck 추수감사절 포틀럭
We will be holding our Annual Thanksgiving Potluck Event on November 28! This event is one of our most loved events by ALL our students and teachers.
오는 11월 28일은 추수감사절 포틀럭 행사를 개최할 예정입니다! 이 행사는 모든 학생들과 선생님들이 가장 사랑하는 행사 중 하나입니다.
The sign-up sheet with directions was sent home with students last week. Please be sure to fill out the form and submit it to your child’s homeroom teacher by November 13.
포틀럭 진행방식이 적힌 신청서는 지난 주에 학생을 통하여 가정으로 전달해드렸습니다. 해당 양식을 작성하셔서 11월 13일까지 학생의 담임 선생님께 제출해주시기 바랍니다.
Sign-ups will be based on a first-come-first-serve basis. If there are too many sign-ups of the same time or dish, we may request parents to change!
신청은 선착순을 기준으로 하며, 같은 종류의 음식 혹은 요리에 너무 많은 중복신청이 있을시, 부모님께 다른 종류의 요리를 요청드릴 수 있습니다!

JICS Speech Competition 스피치 대회
Our JICS Speech Competition is just around the corner, with less than 2 weeks away! As a reminder, our parents are invited to attend our divisional competition, on November 20th (only) to come cheer on and support the students.
JICS 스피치 대회가 2주도 채 남지 않았습니다! 다시 한 번 말씀드리지만, 11월 20일에 열리는 각 디비전 대회에 학생들을 지지하고 응원하고자 학부모님을 초대합니다.

Division I (K7-G2): starting at 1:15 PM 오후 1시 15분 시작
Division 2 (G3 - G5): starting at 1:15 PM 오후 1시 15분 시작
Division 3 (Jr. High & High) : starting at 2:30 pm 오후 2시 30분 시작예정

Spring 2025 Bus Request Forms 2025년도 봄 학기 버스 신청서
Bus request forms for Spring 2025 were sent out last Friday.
Please be sure to submit the forms by this Wednesday 11/13, even if your child will NOT be using the school bus.
지난 주 금요일에 학생들을 통해 2025년 봄 학기 버스 신청서를 보내드렸습니다. 스쿨버스를 이용하지 않더라도 기재된 제출일자, 11월 13일, 이번 주 수요일까지 신청서를 반드시 제출해주시기 바랍니다.
Illnesses & Medicine 감기 증상 및 기타 의약품 복용
As the weather is getting colder, more students are catching cold and other illnesses. We ask you to please watch out for your children for any symptoms and guide them to wear a mask.
날씨가 점점 추워지면서 감기 증상을 보이는 학생들이 많아지고 있습니다. 만일 자녀가 감기 증상을 보일 경우, 마스크를 착용할 수 있도록 도와주시기 바랍니다
If your child needs to take any medications, please make sure to let the school office know and guide them to bring the medication into the office.
만일 학생이 복용해야 할 약이 있다면 학교에 알려주시고, 학생들이 오피스로 약을 가져올 수 있도록 알려주시기 바랍니다.

크리스마스 콘서트 중요공지
We announced in our previous NOTW that our JICS Christmas Performance date will be pushed back to December 18, instead of December 12. Some parents have expressed difficulty with the date change so we are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. If there are any other parents/ students who set plan accordingly when our calendar was first released, please be sure to let us know. We will inform you of the final outcome as soon as possible.
이전 NOTW에서 JICS크리스마스 콘서트 날짜가 12월 12일에서 12월 18일로 연기되었음을 공지해드렸습니다. 일부 학부모님들께서 변경된 날짜에 어려움을 표현하셨기에, 가능한 한 빨리 해결하기 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 학사 일정이 처음 공개되었을 때 그에 맞춰 계획을 세운 학부모님이나 학생들이 계시다면 꼭 학교로 알려주시기 바랍니다. 최종 결과는 가능한 한 빨리 공지드리겠습니다.
Donations for Korean folktale books 전래동화 책 기부
We are taking donations for Korean fairytale/ folktale books for our library collection!! These books are to be in the Korean language, and will be used in a variety of way by our students in their classes.
우리 도서관을 위해 한국 전래동화/민담 책을 기증 받고 있습니다! 한국어로 된 책을 기증 받고 있으며, 학생들의 수업에서 다양한 방법으로 사용할 예정입니다
If you have any traditional fairytale/ folktale books that you no longer need, we would be grateful to receive your donations! Thank you!

[Performing Arts] Drama Theater Arts 드라마 수업
This is a reminder for Drama Theater Arts students to please bring their costumes this Thursday, 11/14 for the first “dress rehearsal"!
Please be sure that your child brings everything their character needs to ensure the rehearsal goes smoothly.
