Fall final exams are here!
가을학기 기말 고사가 코앞으로 다가왔습니다!
4th graders and up will have Fall Final Exams starting Monday, Jan 29 to Friday, Feb 2! Teachers have been reviewing materials for the exam, so please help encourage your students to study hard for their finals over the weekend!
1월 29일 월요일부터 2월 2일 금요일까지 4학년 이상의 학생들은 기말 고사를 치르게 됩니다! 선생님들께서 시험을 위한 복습을 진행하고 있고, 학생들이 주말동안 기말 고사를 잘 준비할 수 있도록 응원해주세요!
As a reminder, 1-3rd grade students will have cumulative review tests or final chapter tests in placement of final exams.
1~3 학년 학생들은 기말 고사가 아닌 누적 복습 시험 또는 챕터 시험을 치르게 됨을 리마인더 드립니다.
Last Day of After-School

As a reminder, today was the last day of Fall Semester after-school classes to give students time to prepare and study for their Fall Final Exams, and teachers time to grade and wrap up the semester! Please remember to pick up your students at the right time.

End of Fall Semester
가을학기 마지막 날
As a reminder, the last day of the 2023 Fall Semester for grade school is Friday, Feb 2! There will be no school Monday, Feb 5 for Teachers-In-Service Day, and students will return on Tuesday, Feb 6 for the first day of Spring Semester (grade school).
2월 2일 금요일은 초·중·고 2023년 가을학기의 마지막 날임을 리마인더 드립니다! 2월 5일 월요일은 교사근무일로써 학교에 오지 않고, 모든 초·중·고 학생들은 2월 6일 화요일날 봄학기 첫 등교를 하게 됩니다.
Additionally, starting this upcoming Monday, January 29, students will begin to organize and bring home Fall Semester items. Please send your student to school with a large-sized bag (Costco bag/shopping bag, etc.) in the case your child may have items or complete materials to take home!
추가로 1월 29일 월요일부터 학생들의 가을학기 물건들을 정리하여 보내드릴 예정입니다. 만약 학생이 집으로 가지고 가고 싶은 것 혹은 완성된 과제물이 있다면 큰 사이즈의 가방 (코스트코 가방 / 쇼핑백)을 학교로 보내주세요.

Next Thursday, February 1 and Friday, February 2 is our House Color Spirit Day! To celebrate the end of the 2023 Fall Semester, students come to school wearing their house colors and play House Games! Please see below for the House Colors.

Valentine’s Day Grams

Valentine’s Day Celebration is coming up soon! For the first time this year, our JICS Passion Project team is in charge of Valentine’s Day Grams instead of the school! This will be a special time where students, parents, or teachers can share and express care to loved ones.
발렌타인데이 기념행사가 곧 다가옵니다! 올해 처음으로 학교 대신 JICS Passion Project 팀이 발렌타인 데이 그램을 담당합니다! 학생, 학부모님, 선생님들 모두 사랑하는 사람에게 사랑과 관심을 나누고 표현할 수 있는 특별한 시간이 될 것입니다.
Students will be sent home with a Valentine’s Day packet which will contain more details on this year’s Valentine’s Grams. Anyone can purchase these gifts for whomever (parent to student, parent to teacher, student to teacher, student to student, etc.) *Note: Even if your student will not be here from next semester, you can still turn in a form and send it to other students, teachers, or staff!

Request for Official Documents
공식 서류 요청
All requests for formal documents (Certificate of Enrollment, Withdrawal Form, etc.) will take a minimum of 3~4 days for processing. Additionally, recommendation letters will take up to 1-2 weeks to process.
모든 공식 서류 (입학증명서, 자퇴원서 등) 요청은 최소 3~4일이 소요되며, 추천서는 1~2주가 소요됩니다.
The “Request for Withdrawal” form must be turned in a month prior to the last day if a student needs to be withdrawn from JICS.
학생이 JICS에서 자퇴해야 하는 경우에는 “자퇴요청서”를 등교 마지막날로 부터 최소 한달 전에 제출해야합니다.
[3rd Grade] Weekly Challenges
[3학년] 주간 챌린지
There will be no weekly challenges for the rest of the Fall Semester so that students can fully focus on preparing for their finals! We will resume again in the Spring Semester.
학생들이 기말고사 준비에만 집중할 수 있도록 남은 가을학기에는 주간 과제가 없습니다! 봄학기에 다시 시작할 것입니다.
