On September 6, JICS and SUNY Korea gathered together and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote academic achievement and college readiness for our students.
지난 9월 6일 JICS와 뉴욕주립대학교가 학생들의 학업 성취와 대학 입시 준비를 촉진하기 위한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했습니다.
The ceremony occurred on SUNY Korea’s campus. The document was signed by our Principal Ms. Mindy Lee and CEO Mr. Dean Park and President Dr. Arthur H. Lee of SUNY Korea signifying an agreement to collaborate in organizing joint education programs and seminars for students and parents, community engagement programs, and other activities.
MOU 체결식은 한국뉴욕주립대학교 캠퍼스에서 진행되었으며, Mindy Lee 교장선생님, Mr. Dean Park CEO, 그리고 Dr. Arhur H. Lee 한국뉴욕주립대학교 총장이 학생과 학부모를 위한 공동 교육 프로그램 및 세미나, 지역사회 참여 프로그램 및 기타 활동을 공동으로 진행하기로 합의하였습니다.

SUNY Korea was established in March 2012 with Stony Brook University as the first American university system in Incheon with six undergraduate and graduate programs. Five years later, in 2017, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) joined SUNY Korea, offering two associate programs in Fashion Design and Fashion Business Management.
한국뉴욕주립대학교는 2012년 3월 인천 최초로 미국 대학 시스템으로 6개의 학부 및 대학원 과정으로 Stony Brook University와 함께 설립되었습니다. 5년 후 2017년 FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology)가 한국뉴욕주립대학교에 합류하여 패션 디자인학과 및 패션경영학과의 수업을 제공하고 있습니다.

JICS’s relationship with SUNY Korea began with JICS making the initial contact, which then developed into a chain of interactions, and finally, into the establishment of an MOU signing ceremony.
JICS와 한국뉴욕주립대학교의 인연은 JICS의 연락을 시작으로, 마침내 MOU 체결식으로 이어졌습니다.
During the President and Principal’s message, Ms. Mindy expressed how JICS is a place where students will truly grow and become well-adapted to the American education system, “so that by the time they get to [SUNY Korea], they are fully equipped, and they have the capabilities to succeed well.”
총장님과 교장선생님의 감사 연설에서 Ms. Mindy께서는 “우리 학생들이 [SUNY Korea]에 입학하기 전까지, 학생들이 성공할 수 있는 능력을 갖춰낼 것”이라며, JICS가 학생들이 진정으로 성장하고 미국 교육 시스템에 잘 적응할 수 있는 곳이라고 설명하였습니다.
